The Ionian Sea … setting sails for the infinite blue

Lefkada, located in the middle of the Ionian Sea, is the ideal base for sailing to the other Ionian Islands and their famous beaches.

Starting from the much-praised Corfu, one can combine the cosmopolitan aura of Club Mediterranee in Dassia and the cosmopolitan beach of Glyfada, with the calm coasts of Kassiopi and Lefkimmi. The visitor must see Sidari on the northern part of the island, with the ruins of the Venetian castle and the Canal d’ Amour. He also must go to Paleokastritsa, perhaps the most enchanting area of the island. Below is Bella Vista, one of the most beautiful sights and sunsets of the Ionian Sea. Worth-visiting is Ermones, where the mythical encounter of Odysseus and Nausika had taken place. Finally, Agios Gordios, Gastouri (where the Achilleion, Palace of Queen Elizabeth of Austria is located), Benitses and Agios Matthaios are also significant beaches. In addition, there are small islands all around Corfu with virgin beaches to which we will extensively refer.

Paxi, a little on the south of Corfu, combine coasts with deep blue sea and green nature along with a mild climate, thus creating a specially charming atmosphere. Gaios, Ozias, and Logos are villages – beaches that will remain unforgettable to the visitor.

Kefalonia is an island quite calm and ideal for families with equally beautiful beaches. Platis Yialos and Lassi, near Argostoli, Assos, Myrtos, Fiskardo, and Lixouri have a tranquil, picturesque landscape that allows the traveler to relax and be lost in the simplicity of time.

Zakynthos (Zante) is an island easily accessible to the visitor and is, therefore, one of the best tourist choices. The Gulf of Laganas is located at its forefront, with plenty of green, and endless sand, which is a holiday spot full of intense life and excitement. Alykes, Keri, Argassi, and Vassilikos are also worth visiting.
